Founder – Management and Artistic Consultant for Malmö Arab Film Festival. Expert producer, director in television and documentary film production. He has a broad experience in project management in media production and business development within the cultural and creative industries with particular focus on diversity.
MOHAMAD ABO WHATFA
Executive Director
Mohamad graduated from Al-Azhar University in Gaza 2006, department of Graphic Design.
He worked for more than 10 years in a number of NGO’s and in a media and advertising companies as a graphic designer, photographer and news producer.
Mohamad has been working in the Malmö Arab Film Festival since 2016.
AILA MAHMOUD

Aila Mahmoud, a 21 year old dentistry student with a passion for both the medical and creative fields. Alongside studies, she has gained a diverse range of work experience; through participating for four years at the Malmö Arab Film Festival having the chance to engage and gain valuable insights into the film industry, this strengthened her communication skills and deepened her passion for cultural exchange. Balancing a medical career path with other experience has given her a unique perspective and the drive to help others through different forms of service and connection.

WADIE HADDAD ALHASAN
Public Developer
Since moving to Sweden in 2014, Wadie started his journey into photography and in 2015 he started studying media och aesthetic as high school program. He went even further and got a bachelor’s degree in digital Picture Production at Blekinge Technological High School in Karlshamn. Marking 9 years in the photography and film industry with a variety of different projects he was involved in such as working in photography studios and a large amount of freelancer projects. Wadie had his first photo gallery in 2019 and worked at MAFF as photographer in the year 2022. This year Wadie has been named the Public Developer of Malmö Arab Film Festival.
