Arab Women Film Days 2024

The Arab Women Film Days began in 2015 as a small-scale event to celebrate International Women’s Day. Due to its immense success and positive reception, it quickly evolved into a standalone mini-festival. This initiative was established to spotlight the rich diversity of films made by and featuring Arab women, and to empower these women in an industry that remains predominantly male. The festival aims to highlight projects that showcase substantial female representation in all facets of production, from the script to the screen.

In addition to screening remarkable films, the festival includes panel discussions, workshops, and networking opportunities designed to foster collaboration and support among women in the film industry. By creating a platform for dialogue and exchange, the Arab Women Film Days encourages the sharing of experiences and knowledge, helping to cultivate a community of women filmmakers, producers, and audiences.

The upcoming edition of Arab Women Film Days will take place at Röda Kvarn Cinema in Helsingborg on December 20-21.
